COMMON Focus: A Perk for Your 2021 COMMON Membership
Originally planned as a “for fee” event, COMMON has decided to make COMMON Focus available to everyone who has a 2021 COMMON membership

COMMON Focus 2020 is an amazing event. It is a completely new and unique approach from previous Common events. It consists entirely of half-day workshops on topics of SQL, RPG, system administration, security, ACS, open source, database and career development. All workshops are presented live using Zoom and attendees have many opportunities to interact with the presenters. COMMON members, especially corporate members, will recognize this is a STEAL! To learn more about the Focus event and the great workshops, see the Topic Series page for the complete list of workshops.
The time is understandably short to join or renew your membership. While the Focus conference is presented live over Zoom sessions, they will be recorded and will be available to members for 30 days after the Focus event ends. We understand that getting away from the day job to get the education you need is hard. For those reasons COMMON is excited to offer you these workshops and the extended replay time.
If you are not yet a member of COMMON, this is a really great incentive to join COMMON for 2021. Not only do you get to attend the Focus event, but you also get access to the extensive content library—over 400 hours of recorded presentations vetted by the COMMON Education Team available for free to members. These presentations are pertinent today and ready to help you solve the many challenges you face daily. In addition to the content library, COMMON hosts various online events that are free to members throughout the year.
Among the many other workshops, I, along with three developers from IBM, are going to host a deep-dive into the Performance Data Investigator. What a great opportunity to learn about this powerful feature of Navigator for i as part of your 2021 COMMON membership. Join me on December 17 at 1:00 pm CST.
