eFILE allows asynchronous file exchanges between batch processes. The consumers of a file, as well as its creator can now benefit from a functional link (the logical name of the file), without having to be constrained by a technical dependency (i.e.: a scheduler predecessor/successor, or even the physical name of the file). The creator can register its file under an identifier within the sink, to be later extracted by one or more readers, which previously subscribed to this identifier. The subscriptions can describe controls (length, format, duplicates) and automatisms when the files are available.


uWME is a scheduler migration engine. Abstraction models allow the transformation of scheduling definitions from a source format into a target format, by going through a functional rules. The engine can assimilate any additional rule, allowing the integration of the clients' specifics to the migration. It integrates with our software E=GEN and iCAN in order to automate the entire migration process, from the collection of the existing definitions, their transformation, to their deployment in the target environment.


By extracting, sorting, and merging job-related SMF records into logical job groupings, eSMF provides a simple yet complete way of tracking every execution on z/OS, consolidated into a clear, detailed, and publishable format.  eSMF collects the records in an Open environment, after a fast and efficient extraction on z/OS, thus having little to no impact on its CPU consumption.  The solution's archiving capabilities also make it practical to store years of SMF records.


E-GEN streamlines every operation associated with the changes of batch components. It simplifies the way the Jobs and their scheduling are created or modified by the users, by allowing them to describe them in a functional way. Operational models and rules are then applied by Generators to effectively produce the component to their actual format (JCL, Batchloader, XML, etc…), and automatically adapted and deployed to each target (LPAR, environment, client, …). E-GEN’s customization capabilities also allows to communicate with existing software, such as repositories, change management solutions, or other any tool whose perimeter is concerned.

JCL Checker

JCL Checker ensures the optimal use of your production department’s time and resources by providing early detection of all JCL-related problems. It efficiently checks JCL for syntax errors, and reports everything from missing data sets to program existence.  The solution has powerful, high-speed capabilities that easily automate the JCL verification process. It helps ensure correctly formatted JCL. It also enforces in-house norms and standards with minimal wasted effort on the part of your IT team.


iCAN creates a snapshot of the existing batch components of a customer, by collecting them and identifying the links, dependencies, and relations between one component and another (i.e.: a step within a JCL impacting the scheduler workflow). Once the components are collected, iCAN can establish reports, statistics, flowcharts, and documentation based on the knowledge gathered. Job information can be further improved by adding the eSMF module, specialized in the extraction, collection and analysis of job-related SMF records. iCAN is also used during E-GEN integration projects to collect the existing components and migrate them into functional descriptions to populate the repository.
