​The University of Florida (UF) has established a significant collaboration with IBM to advance its “AI University” initiative, aiming to position UF as a leader in artificial intelligence, data science and related technologies. This multi-year partnership includes the development of new AI degree programs, provision of online coursework, software, and case studies from the IBM Academic Initiative, and the establishment of a campus center focusing on finance and technology education and research.
While the collaboration emphasizes AI and data science, it also encompasses hybrid cloud computing, which is integral to IBM Power Systems. IBM is supplying UF with curated course content, access to the IBM Cloud, and digital certificates upon course completion.​
This partnership underscores UF’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies into its curriculum, preparing students for the evolving demands of the tech industry.
