In partnership with IBM, Notre Dame established the Tech Ethics Lab, which explores the ethical implications of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and quantum computing. This lab enables students to participate in applied research and develop frameworks for the responsible and ethical use of these innovations.

As a member of the IBM Q Network, Notre Dame’s Center for Research Computing leverages IBM’s cloud-based quantum computing systems to simulate complex chemical reactions, offering students hands-on experience in quantum computing applications.

These initiatives allow Notre Dame students to work with cutting-edge IBM technologies, gain practical skills and contribute to research that addresses critical real-world challenges.
