DBU Database Utility
DBU allows users to view and access all data on all systems using one interface. Instantly access information on logicals, enable security and audit logs or view and update multiple files. Access your data via green screen, Rational® Developer for IBM i or web interface. DBU supports access to IBM i, MySQL, Oracle and other databases. Use DBU to analyze, access and secure data on all your servers and track any modifications made.
Give your IBM i full SQL access to remote databases from all IBM i high-level languages. RDB Connect is a collection of commands and functions allowing record-level access to remote data using RPG, CL or COBOL. Programmers can write applications that use standard types and features without concern for the specifics of each remote database. Likewise, database driver implementers need only know how to attach to the core library. RDB Connect will run on an IBM i V5R4M0 and above. It requires an IP connection to the remote server that is running the database that you want to access.
SQL/Pro provides the total package for all of your in-house SQL software requirements. With the latest new release of SQL/Pro, users will benefit from improved interactive performance, SQL history, additional SQL statement prompting and multilanguage support. Statements can be executed in batch or by interactively allowing output directed to a display, printer file or database file. Other upgrades will allow 132-column display, statement formatting using reserved keywords and an enhanced history log featuring subset capabilities. Use it in conjunction with SQL Audit—included at no charge.
