Contributor

Shirley S. Savage is a writer and communications strategist. She is fascinated by tech, science, finance, energy, and the way innovative people think. She's curious about the people who create and develop concepts and products.

With such powerful curiosity, it’s unsurprising that her writing output is varied, too. In addition to IBM Systems Magazine, her work has appeared in Teradata Magazine, IEEE Spectrum, Global Finance, and other publications. She's written newsletters about nanotechnology and advanced manufacturing technologies including 3-D printing for Frost & Sullivan.

She began her writing career as an energy journalist, writing for several publications owned by The McGraw-Hill Companies. She also had the pleasure of being a “talking head” many times on CNBC during her energy career.

Shirley is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
