​Albany State University (ASU) has partnered with IBM to enhance its computing programs, particularly in cybersecurity and quantum computing. Through the establishment of a Cybersecurity Leadership Center, ASU students and faculty gain access to IBM’s training, software, and certifications at no cost. The collaboration includes immersive learning experiences, such as simulated cyberattacks, and provides access to IBM’s premier security products hosted in the IBM.
Additionally, ASU is involved in IBM’s Quantum Education Initiative, offering students access to IBM’s quantum computers and educational support on using the Qiskit open-source software development framework. This initiative aims to drive a diverse and inclusive quantum workforce by providing research opportunities, curriculum development and special projects.
These partnerships reflect ASU’s commitment to preparing students for the evolving demands of the technology industry.
