The University of Miami (UM) has established a robust collaboration with IBM, integrating IBM technologies into its academic and research initiatives. Through the IBM Skills Academy, UM offers its Master of Science in Data Science students access to industry-recognized credentials, enhancing their expertise in data science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things. Courses are delivered by IBM-certified instructors, incorporating hands-on labs and tools developed by IBM subject matter experts. Additionally, UM’s Institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC) houses the TRITON supercomputer, one of the nation’s largest academic cyber infrastructures, built using IBM Power Systems AC922 servers. This collaboration provides students and faculty with access to a range of IBM software and cloud services, supporting research and education in various technological fields.
