Cartagena Software is a privately-held corporation, founded in 1991 by Mike Baldwin of StorageTek and Cybermation. The company is based in Toronto, Canada. Our specialty is software and services for IBM’s mainframe operating system, z/OS. World-famous TelTape for z/OS has migrated millions of tapes, working closely with our partners Dell/EMC, Fujitsu, IBM, Log-On Software, and Oracle. Other products are zTrustfer for cloud/object storage backup and restore, Co-Pilot for z/OS console automation tool, Superuser for z/OS for USS (Unix System Services) security administration, and Speedview for z/OS report management and TCP/IP print server. We welcome new service and reseller partners.

TelTape for z/OS has migrated millions of tape volumes world-wide since 1998. TelTape’s high speed copy engines non-disuptively move data between Dell EMC, Fujitsu, IBM, Luminex, Optica, Oracle, and VTFM libraries, supporting all tape management systems, plus USERTMS, and “No TMS” operation. TelTape is designed to co-exist with production workloads. A few features are: ISPF panels, “Clone” volumes to the same volume serial, load balancing, automatic copy verification, statistics reporting to spreadsheet. Backup VTL: use TelTape’s 30+ selection criteria to regularly backup the important virtual tape data.

Co-Pilot for z/OS is a console automation tool, that consolidates controls in tables and has ISPF, batch, and z/OS console interfaces. Responds to console messages, date, time of day, enforcing rules to issue commands, submit jobs, and execute REXX procedures such as email or opening trouble tickets. Monitor applications such as started tasks, to automatically restart and maintain availability. Streamline operations by suppressing or highlighting selected messages.
