COMMON Europe

Common Europe (CE) is an umbrella organization of 19 European national IBM Power Systems™, IBM i™, AIX™, and Linux™ user groups from 18 different countries with a mission to advance the professional development of our community through educational activities.

CE also has an Advisory Council (CEAC) consisting of European technical experts from our user groups that meet with IBM developers to discuss current and future strategies with them. A further initiative is NextGen, designed to develop and offer networking opportunities for students and young professionals as well as help shape the future of Common Europe.

We hold events throughout the year including educational and solution-provider webinars as well as  our annual flagship event, the Common Europe Congress (CEC). The next one will be held, in collaboration with Common Belgium, in Antwerp, 7-9 June 2027, offering extensive education, networking, and socializing opportunities. After last year’s success in Lyon, we hope to make your experience even more memorable.

Education areas targeted are IBM Power hardware, Application Development, Advanced RPG, Open Source tools and Languages, System Management, Db2 and SQL, IBM Storage, Security and Compliance, and much more including a personal development track.

The congress will kick off with in-depth workshops offering a hands-on approach to learning. Major European and worldwide technology companies will also present innovative practical solutions in our bigger-than-ever extensive Expo area.
