Spring Updates from the IBM i Team

IBM i Chief Architect Steve Will shares how his team is adjusting to the new normal and keeping client needs and education at the forefront.

For a few years now, the technology community has been using the word “disruptive” to describe new technologies (like the smart phone), new business models (like ride-sharing), new monetary models (like crypto-currency, crowd-funding & micro-loans)—things which certainly bring a fundamental change to the way technology is applied, to opportunities and to competition.  These are, in a certain sense, disruptive.
 
In result, one must do their best to adapt to such changes. To that point, the phrase, “a new way of life,” has been thrown around a lot in the past few weeks. I know it rings true for me and the IBM i team. At the present time, we’re all working from home—as are many within the IBM i community. But, we all keep moving forward. So today I thought it might be worthwhile to write about what’s going on with the IBM i team, particularly as it relates to getting you new, useful information this spring.
